That Thing You Like Sucks (And That’s Okay)
I’ve been at this for a while without any major
arguments or controversies. So, time to
jeopardize that in one shot with this post.
Because if there’s one thing I wouldn’t mind doing, it’s rustling tail feathers
so much that the flesh will peel right off of the bone.
Ready?
Incendiary opinions, HO!

Are Japanese Games Getting Too Lewd?
I like to imagine that there’s a person out there
who reads the title of this post, screams “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” and then dives
from the sky like a peregrine falcon to try and hit me with a flying cross chop at 200 miles per hour. The keyword here
is try, for obvious reasons. I like my bones in working order, you see.
Now then.
Early on in my blogging career (sure, let’s call it that), I tended to
use the phrase “improbably buxom” to describe -- well, you can probably
guess. I still use it, because I think
it’s worth a chuckle. But back then I
used it a bit more because I went on about stuff like Dead or Alive. It reached a
point where I joked about spearheading a campaign to create Improbably Buxom: The Game, in which you
play as a character out to make the women of the world -- you guessed it --
improbably buxom. Then I found out that
that game had already been made, more or less; the details aren’t intimate to
me, but I’m willing to bet that it’s hentai.
Does that count in the grand scheme of things? That’s a question worthy of debate.
But imagine my surprise when a slew of recent
Japanese games do their best to ape my glorious concept. All with a straight face. And it just leaves me wondering: are the
games from the land of the rising sun becoming too lewd for their own good?

What’s the Deal with Fan Art?
So I started watching RWBY a while back. I managed
to catch up with it a while back, too -- but I didn’t have to sit through three
separate season finales to know how I felt about it. It’s a strong show, and I’ve got no problems
admitting I’m a fan. Now I’m just
sitting here, waiting for Volume 4.
I should back up a bit and say that the show’s
“seasons” are collected into volumes, with episodes typically ranging from 10
to 15 minutes. Thus far, there have been
three volumes (though there’s a super-deformed spinoff to sate the fans). I’m at a point where I’m eager for news on
the continuing adventures of Team RWBY and the other Hunters/Huntresses in the
making, but there’s a problem. See, when
I jumped in, I dodged pretty much every connecting thread to the series vis a
vis the fandom and general info. I only
learned about RWBY by watching videos
on YouTube, not through the official website, news channels, and the like. I’ve fixed that; once I finished the first
three volumes, I subscribed to the subreddit in anticipation of news.
I haven’t gotten anything substantial yet on the
news front. But in case you missed the
title, this isn’t a post about news.

I Hraet You...and the wonders of Microsoft Paint.
Mini-post for now; more content coming soon. For the moment, here's something I thought I'd show off.
It's everyone's favorite over-the-top love freak, Lloyd B. Hoigleheimer...made with Paint and PowerPoint! They (by which I mean my brother) say that Photoshop is just a thousand-dollar version of Paint, and given what I can do with Microsoft Office pack-ins and a little more than an hour, I'm inclined to agree.
More of these to follow. I've heard that people don't like reading massive blocks of text on the internet, even if you're writing a web serial. So I thought I'd try making some eye catches to give readers a slight reprieve. I don't know if the text/narrative will allow me to make breaks like this all the time, but for now I'll keep stockpiling these and posting them around. This one'll probably head up the archive page.
So yeah. Pardon my crude art and attempt to prove what a pretty little snowflake I am.
